The Community Chest celebrated its 85th Anniversary of “Neighbors helping Neighbors” at their annual gala on April 18, 2018, at the Montammy Golf Club. The Chest was pleased to honor individuals and companies for their significant support of our vital mission to help neighbors in need and provide leadership training. Honorees for 2018 are: Philanthropist Award, Richard Engel & Swati Rao Engel; Community Champion Award, ConnectOne Bank; Public Spirit Award, The Rotary Club of Englewood. Our evening highlights includes remarks by Lori Stokes, a performance by the JCC Thurnauer Music Discovery Program students and a live auction with Nick Dawes. Thank you to our generous sponsors.

The Community Chest
Strategic Plan 2016-2019

Constant changes in society led the leadership of The Community Chest to examine the organization’s mission and goals and determine whether we are serving our communities in the best possible ways. In 2015 and 2016 a committee of volunteers, facilitated by consultant, Kirsten Reichert, and chaired by board member, Jayanne Tedesco, engaged in a process of reviewing the past and examining the future of The Community Chest. The questions asked related to how we can continue to address the needs of our communities.
